IMF announced the inevitability of global regulation of the Crypto-currency

In the future, all crypto-currencies will necessarily fall under international regulation. This was stated by the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde in an interview with CNN Money.

"Undoubtedly, this is an area where international regulation and proper supervision is necessary," she said. In operations with digital currencies, there are many "dark" moments, so the IMF seeks to prevent their use for money laundering and terrorist financing, Lagarde said.

Regulators should focus not on legal entities, but on individual operations with the crypto currency and the persons who conduct them, as well as on the availability of the necessary license, the IMF head believes.

On February 7, Forbes magazine presented the first rating of millionaires who became rich on crypto currency. The top line of the list of 19 businessmen was taken by the financial entrepreneur and CEO of the Ripple service Chris Larsen. His fortune is estimated at 7.5-8 billion dollars.
